Este 29 de agosto se dará a conocer al ganador del Premio Jugador del Año de la UEFA y los 3 nominados son: el astro argentino Lionel Messi, la muralla holandesa Virigl van Dijk y la gran sorpresa en el podio, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Los últimos años se han caracterizado por la incoherencia a la hora de escoger al ganador, buscando la manera de que el premio no se lo lleve Lionel Messi, poniendo por delante a Cristiano Ronaldo y hasta a Luka Modric. Cláramente son unos grandes en el fútbol, pero, ¿en verdad se merecían este premio?.
Este año se da por sentado que el ganador será el campeón de la Champions League, Virigl van Dijk, teniendo una excelente temporada donde no sólo se consagró como campeón y mejor jugador de la final de la Champions League, sino que también fue subcampeón de la UEFA Nations League, subcampeón de la Premier League, y Jugador del Año por la PFA. Teniendo a esta fuerte candidato como rival, ¿Cómo Messi podría ganar este galardón?. La respuesta es sencilla, haciendo justicia a su magnífica, y a una de las mejores temporadas que ha realizado este fenómeno, campeón de la Liga española, campeón de la Supercopa de España, subcampeón de la Copa del Rey, máximo goleador de la UEFA Champions League y ganador de la Bota de Oro. Sí, leyeron bien, todo esto consiguió Lionel Andrés Messi en esta temporada. En 34 partidos ligeros anotó 36 goles y dio 15 asistencias, teniendo como ratio de gol 1,5 por partido, una estadística impresionante e incomparable.
Si el fútbol es justo, el 29 de agosto en Mónaco, Leo debería alzar su cuarto Premio Jugador del Año de la UEFA, y no hay más. Dista un abismo de diferencia entre todos los jugadores de fútbol, y no sólo entre los nominados. Messi domina a su antojo este deporte desde hace ya una década.
